How to reset a breaker is tripped. Press the button on the upper right area of the bed outlet when the circuit breaker has opened after a fault has occurred to reset the circuit breaker to the on position. But don’t ignore the frequent tripping of the circuit breaker. That may be all you need to do.

3 steps to take when a circuit breaker is tripped and won’t reset. If it’s in the neutral position, flip it off and then back on. Push the switch to the “off” and then “on” position.

Or it resets but trips again immediately. Go back to your breaker panel if separate from the main breaker. Many times a circuit breaker needs reset even if it doesn’t look like it has flipped.

Look for the breaker on which the switch lever has shifted away from the on position. Going through this process can save you a ton of time later on if you discover the problem was there all along. Move the switch all the way over to the off position to fully reset it (some breakers will not allow you to move the switch back into position without this movement).

If your problem continues, you may have to determine if you have a blown fuse. Dry it with a hairdryer. Once you find the breaker that has tripped, and have inspected it to verify that it does not appear damaged in some way, you should be safe to reset it.

Open your circuit breaker to view your rows of circuit switches. Make sure you’re not demanding too much power If your gfci outlet won’t reset, first check the breaker box to make sure the breaker of the circuit has not tripped off.
